| | Ms. Helen He is a Program Associate in the College of Natural Resources at Virginia Tech where she provides support to graduate programs in the National Capital Region. Helen has a Master of Natural Resources degree from Virginia Tech. She is a native of China and works closely with our Chinese partners in the public and private sectors. Ms. Yang “Minnie” Hu moved to Arlington Virginia from China in August of 2011. She works as a graduate assistant for the Natural Resources Program of Virginia Tech, coordinating various international studies tours and participating in funded research projects. For the previous five years, Minnie had worked with the Embassy of Colombia in Beijing China, where she gained familiarity with diplomacy, International relations and consular services. Her fluency in Chinese, English and Spanish has allowed her to participate in many projects between China and Colombia. Projects ranged from transportation, to energy and infrastructure, with both private and public sector sponsorship. These projects inspired her to pursue further education and understanding in natural resources and environmental sustainability. Minnie graduated with a BA in Spanish from Beijing Foreign Studies University in 2006. Minnie enjoys traveling, hiking, as well as salsa and swing dancing. Virginia Tech National Capital Region |
| Mr. T. Adil Chowdhury has been an environmental consultant in Michigan for the last seven years. His work has primarily been in the investigation, mitigation, and remediation of petroleum impact in soil and groundwater. His experience includes small-scale local businesses all the way to multinational energy companies. He researched the stratigraphy of low-level metals in lakebed sediment at MichgianTech. He is now a participant of the inaugural cohort of Executive Masters in Natural Resources at VirginiaTech. His educational and professional career spans across an international background, from his childhood in lush Bangladesh, to his high school on the hills of Kodaikanal, India, and finally a decade of work and play by the Great Lakes of Michigan.
